American Neuropathy Institute is a neuropathy treatment practice in Orlando, Florida, built for people who have lived with nerve pain for far too long. We care for patients from Central Florida, across the United States and abroad. For those travelling to us, our concierge team plans the whole journey, treatment, travel, accommodation and the support in between, so you can focus on your care.

Our Mission
At American Neuropathy Institute, we are dedicated to providing cutting-edge neuropathy treatments for adults over 35. In a published study of this combined treatment (electrical stimulation together with nerve injections) in 101 patients with diabetic neuropathy, patients whose main symptom was pain reported an average 87% reduction in pain scores (Cernak et al., Practical Pain Management, 2012). Individual results vary.
Our protocols, using FDA-cleared devices, FDA-approved medications and patented Electrical Stimulation, offer effective solutions for various chronic nerve conditions, aiming to enhance the quality of life for our patients.

Dr. Shaik Ejazuddin, MD
Acknowledged internist in Orlando, Florida, Dr Shaik is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Central Florida Behavioral Hospital and AdventHealth Orlando. With a medical degree from Gandhi Medical College, he has been in practice for more than 20 years. Long expertise in treating stroke, chronic diabetes, chronic high blood pressure, among other conditions. We're now accepting new patients and also are available for appointments, preventive care, and medical care as well as ongoing patient care. Yna Capistrano, PHRN
Yna is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduate from one of the Philippines’ top universities and a Philippine Registered Nurse (PHRN) with a strong foundation in clinical healthcare. She gained hands-on experience in a tertiary hospital’s Special Care Areas including V Therapy, Chemotherapy, and Hemodialysis Units. Yna has since expanded her expertise into healthcare administration, supporting medical practice operations overseas, provider EMR systems support, clinical workflow coordination, and executive administrative healthcare support.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) & Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C)
Damaris Alicano
Damaris Alicano is a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) and Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with experience in providing comprehensive healthcare services, emphasizing patient education and preventive care. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Florida International University and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Her commitment to evidence-based practice ensures that her patients receive the highest care tailored to their needs. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she served for more than 15 years as a registered nurse and respiratory therapist in various healthcare settings such as cardiac critical care, emergency department, community services, and home health. Damaris is basic life support (BLS) certified and strongly believes in lifestyle modifications to prevent chronic health diseases.

Melba Eda
Melba Eda is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, bringing nearly 18 years of healthcare experience to American Neuropathy Institute. Her expertise includes valuable experience as a registered nurse in Medical-Surgical, Emergency, Neurology and Intensive Care, and a vast array of nurse practitioner experience in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery. Melba is dedicated and committed to providing excellent, compassionate, and holistic patient-centered care, empowering patients to achieve their maximum potential.
